Project introduction

The flotation machine process, also known as flotation beneficiation, refers to the process of separating mineral particles by utilizing the differences in the physical and chemical properties of the mineral surface, and is the most widely used beneficiation method.


It is mainly used for sorting non-ferrous metals such as copper, zinc, lead, nickel, gold, etc. It can also be used for rough sorting and selection of ferrous metals and non-metals. Flotation is suitable for processing fine-grained and fine-grained materials. It is difficult to recover fine ore particles smaller than 10 μm by other beneficiation methods, and flotation can also be used.

The mined ore is initially crushed by the main jaw crusher in the beneficiation equipment. After being crushed to a reasonable fineness, it is evenly sent to the ball mill through the elevator and the feeder, and the ore is crushed and ground by the ball mill of the beneficiation equipment.

The ore fines ground by the ball mill enter the next process: classification. The spiral classifier washes and classifies the ore mixture based on the principle that the specific gravity of the solid particles is different and the speed of precipitation in the liquid is different.

When the washed and classified mineral mixture passes through the magnetic separator, due to the different specific magnetic susceptibility coefficients of various minerals, the magnetic substances in the mixture are separated by magnetic force and mechanical force.

The mineral particles initially separated by the magnetic separator are sent to the flotation machine, and different drugs are added according to different mineral properties to separate the desired minerals from other substances.

After the desired minerals are separated, because they contain a lot of water, they must be preliminarily concentrated by a concentrator, and then dried by a dryer to obtain dry minerals.

1. Compared with other beneficiation processes, the flotation process has a wider application range and can process various types of ores.

2. It has a better recovery rate, which is conducive to the comprehensive recovery of mineral resources.

3. In the flotation process, only the flotation agent needs to be added, and the tailings need not be treated, which reduces the cost.

4. Compared with other gold extraction processes, the input cost of flotation process is lower.
